Link's Awakening, Adventure of Link, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Majora's Mask. Bad: Skyward Sword, Skyward Sword, Oracles, Skyward Sword. You're telling me that Skyward Sword is worse than the game that can't get a simple jumping puzzle right? And yet you also like Metroid: Other Baby. I call hijinx.

Other M didn't take 40 hours to beat. It took maybe 8 hours. Skyward Sword took me 40 hours when it should have only taken me 15. Wasting my time is the worst sin a game can commit and Skyward Sword kept committing it. Besides, Anthony Higgs was in Other M. Ghirahim was cool and all but god, that plot twist. Can't get over how much I hated that plot twist. You see, you don't need to explain why somebody is insane. If you let it go, he would have been far, far more interesting. But no, he's the opposite of Fi who's organized and shit. That's the reason he's insane. RIVETING. Plus I didn't like the boss fights with him.

Fave: Minish Cap (IM DIFFERENT) Least Fave: Uh... I got nothin. I like Minish Cap too. Although my favorite differs between Minish Cap, Four Swords, Skyward Sword, Oracle Of Time, Oracle Of Seasons, and Twilight Princess....and Majora's Mask and lastly OoT. My favorite partners come from these games, they would be Ezlo, Navi, Tatl, Fi, and Midna.

"Princess"? In a game where Samus is essentially DEFINED by her gender (yeah, classy work Sakamoto)? Not quite a good move methinks. I admit that you do make a legitimate point about stalling. The stalling in Skyward Sword was worse than Wind Waker. However, I have to draw a few lines here. I was fine with the buildup in the first three dungeons. I was irked at the amount of padding in the Sandship area. I was furious with the Tadtones. And I LOATHED the stealth segment. Mind you, I never found those took comparatively *that* much time... though it WAS bad. I focused on the positive aspects, namely the combat, gameplay, dungeons and bosses. I will concede this: Skyward Sword is my least favourite 3D Zelda, but I did like it for the most part. As for Ghirahim, really? You're mad because his existence is linked to Fi's? That doesn't change the fact that he's insane. Likewise, Fi didn't need a reason to be stoic. Besides, do we really know if Ghirahim's existence is explicitly defined by Fi? This sort of sounds like you're deliberately looking for reasons to hate the game.

This sort of sounds like you're deliberately looking for reasons to hate the game. Anthony was bland but he was so goddamn happy. In a game where everybody else speaks in monotone and acts super-depressed, he was a breath of fresh air. Patronizing? Sure. But he's the most likable character in the franchise IMO. That being said, I haven't played Prime 3. Also, a black guy playing a major role in a Nintendo game. Have we seen that before? Skyward Sword is the worst 3D Zelda game and I'm glad we agree on that. I thought its dungeons were fun for the most part but really that's all I enjoyed. Skyloft sucked. It was dull and the side-quests weren't memorable in the slightest. The overworld had nothing to do. It was empty and the bird was an overhyped gimmick that didn't need to be there. It could have been replaced with a map. The areas in the game were all pretty lame and you re-visited the same three areas over and over again. And man, did they run that "Timestone" gimmick into the ground or what? The bosses? Well, I don't much care for bosses in the first place but god, were these ever-unmemorable. I remember liking that statue guy and that's about it. And why did Nintendo feel the need to shoehorn in motion controls everywhere? Balancing on a rope should not require me to balance the Wiimote. Swimming should not require me to move Link with the Wiimote. I thought sword-play was clever and it led to some interesting puzzles but a good half of the time, it wouldn't register correctly. It was probably a problem on my end but annoying nonetheless. I did enjoy the art style although I felt like the character models were a bit off. It worked for weird looking characters like Groose and Ghirahim but for more normal characters like Link and Zelda, they looked a bit off. The soundtrack was pretty good too and I respect Kondo for all his hard work but none of the songs really stuck with me aside from that theme when you're flying on the bird. The story was passable too but it dragged on for way too long. I did like how they actually gave Link motivation for wanting to save Zelda. No longer is "You just need to do it", rather it's "Dude; Save Yo Girl!" and the game never loses sight of that. Skyward Sword has it's good points but it has some really, really low points. The padding is awful and seriously hurt the game. The boss fights were unmemorable. They ruined Ghirahim by explaining his craziness. The overworld had bland and feature-less. Motion-control was crazy over-used, as were other gimmicks. The soundtrack was good...but nothing stuck out. The game looked nice but the character models seemed a bit off. The story was fine and finally provided motivation for Link but a plot can only help a game so much. It's not an awful game but it's a bad Zelda game.

The overworld had bland and feature-less. Fantastic grammar skillz. =P Anyway, I can't judge Skyward Sword, as I've not given enough of a crap to play it, but the Zelda Series as a whole just flat out doesn't interest me at all anymore. I don't know what it is. I've tried figuring it out. Same monotonous routine? Metroid does that and I like that series. Story? Don't think so. Characters? Don't make sense sometimes but certainly don't bother me. Gameplay is generally good. Music is generally good. SO WHAT THEN?! WHY DOES THIS SERIES FEEL FLAT TO ME?! Probably the weirdest thing ever, Zelda is the series that I think is pretty good but can't bring myself to bother playing. And there's no logical explanation why either. What a weird world we live in...
