I really think Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess get too much crap. Yeah, they're different from previous entries on several levels. But even so, they hold true to everything that makes Zelda great and took fresh approaches. (I don't feel much like elaborating at the moment)
Meanwhile, the DS Zelda games are some of my most hated games ever. They really lacked a lot of charm for me and had an overwhelming amount of annoyances. Over saturation of touch screen control, bland environments, annoying characters, repetitive dungeon design, blah soundtrack... I could go on.

My favorite Zelda game is Wind Waker. Despite it being so easy that I have NEVER gotten a Game Over on it, it has so much innate charm that I keep coming back to it. (I'd love to try the Hero Mode on the HD Remake if I had a Wii U...)
My least favorite is the original Legend of Zelda. I managed to finish the first dungeon, but that was it. This game gives you absolutely no indication of where you're supposed to go next, and since the world is so huge and you don't have a good map, it is way too easy to get lost. I know I could've used a guide, but I can be stubborn. I acknowledge what this game did for the series and gaming as a whole, but I just couldn't enjoy myself.
I haven't played Ages, Zelda II, or the original Four Swords, so I can't make an opinion on those.

Favorite: Majora's Mask (anyone surprised?) Least Favorite: Can't say I have one really. I would say Ocarina of Time, but that because I only played 4 Zelda games (MM, TP, WWm and OOC) and yet it still an excellent game.
I am hoping I get Skyward Sword, despite hearing about some of the flaws it have.

Okay, Link Between Worlds just got a perfect score on NintendoLife. I really want to play that game now. Maybe it will top Minish Cap and Link to the Past as my favorite 2D Zelda? (I can never decide if I like Minish Cap or LttP better)

I can't really say my fav or least fav because I have a terrible habit of not finishing Zelda games. I've played most of OoT3D and think it's an excellent game from what I've played, but just sorta haven't finished the Spirit Temple. I started Skyward Sword and adored what I played (my sis finished and loved it and given how uncritical of games I am it'd probably end up my fav), and the bosses (which I played on my sis' file in the boss rush) are mostly pretty awesome, with Koloktos being my favorite by far. Majora's Mask I recognize as good but I can't get into the time system and I'm not a sidequest guy, and the heavy emphasis on sidequests in MM just sorta puts me off. I started PH and liked it but have been too lazy to ask my sis to lend it to me to continue. I think that's about it. I want to get into this series so much because it looks amazing but I'm too flipping lazy to play any of them. xD
I am hyped for Link Between Worlds, though...after I get money for Dual Destinies.

Why not both? Say what? You can read it again. I think you know what he means.

And that's what drove me to get the game immediately after I finished PokemonX. The fact that ProJared saw this as better than Fire Emblem Awakening(which was my favorite game for a while and is the main reason why im back to using my 3DS) I saw that as a challenge. You see, Im not a big fan of the Zelda series. For me, it's alot like Harry Potter in which I don't pay as much attention to them but do recognize why that they're good franchises and the fans have their reasons on why theyre obsessed with it. You see I found most of the Zelda games that I played(Like Ocarina Of Time and Wind Waker) to be too clunky and slow-paced for me to fully enjoy them. Then I actually got A Link Between Worlds, and now I debating on whether its gonna be my new favorite 3DS or not despite only playing the first dungeon. Mainly I like the freedom and how it takes care of the problems that I had with Zelda for a while. Hopefully Nintendo will keep up this stuff when they make that new Zelda game for the WiiU

I don't love A Link To The Past. Don't get me wrong, I understand it's praise, but it is just an 8/10 for me.

I really, REALLY want to like ALttP, but I just can't get into it. It doesn't pull me in like other games in the series do.
