Why not? We have one for Gen 1, and Gen 5 is just as controversial.
Basically, Gen 5 is to me as Gen 1 is to The Coffee Man. It's really fun and gets a lot of undeserved hate.

It has a lot of good ideas (Infinite uses on TM, faster battles, big cities, etc.) but it's awful story and horrendous post-game drag it down considerably. I was dicking around with the game a little while ago and the very first trainer battle I ran into was someone with a LV.60 KRICKETOT. like, areyoufuckingkiddingme. My Pokemon were like, in the late 40s and they still only got like 300 EXP.

I ruined it for myself by trying to level up all the unova pokemon to the level of my main team. I was a stupid, stupid 11-year-old.

I loved the story until the awful end twist, but it is really good all around. The Pokémon introduced get too much hate as a whole, and the region is great. It introduced good features (albeit some of them under-utilized) and had probably my favorite soundtrack of any Pokémon game to date.
I still need to play BW2...

I like how it opened up half of the entire region, how it enabled you to catch Pokemon from other regions, and how it encouraged exploration by having you search for those sage guys.

Why would you skip the trainers? That's like half the reason to play Pokemon. It's also the only non-time consuming way to get EXP. You need to do that or the game has no point.

I like it. Not my favorite, but I really like it.
My friends are the type that thought its Pokemon roster was lazy, but denying the bad designs in the other Gen.

I mean skip the trainers you can't handle. They may be a bit overleveled, but I still found them to be, for the most part, manageable.

I like a few new ones.
Oshawott is fun new starter. I also like Frillish, Alomomola, Maractus, Joltik, Basculine, Sawk, Throh, and some others likely.
I did not like the Dream World, having to go on website to grow berries (glad berry growing in game is back in gen. 6), I think making game with direct sequel was kind of pointless though still unique so far for the series. I missed using the touch screen more.

I think we can all agree on what the stupidest complaint with Gen 5 is: the fact that it doesn't introduce anything new.
If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go break something.

Gen 5 did introduce new things. It just didn't capitalize on some of them until later. I'm mainly referring to Triple/Rotation battles, which were severely underutilized in BW.

My issue is that the people who complain about Black and White are the same people who complain about games like Wind Waker and Sonic Unleashed. Hyppocracy at its finest.

What did it introduce compared to others Gen 1: Set the Ground Work for the series Gen 2: Added Steel and Dark, along with correcting some issues of 1 Gen 3: Introduced Abilities and Natures Gen 4: Physical and Special split Gen 5: ?? Gen 6: Added Fairy. Added Mega Evoultions I am talking about huge meta changes. Like it made the game different to play. Moving sprites doesn't count. I always forget a second major change in Gen 3. Waka normally corrects me. I think it had the weakest designs in my opinion. The only one I like was Scrafty, Vanniluxe, and Stoutland. I count the whole lines.
