That quote just killed your argument. If its not from Sega, It's from an UNOFFICIAL Sonic the Hedgehog history book, that does not prove anything. If you're going to use the word of some random Joe as evidence to prove that the game is "a good difficult game" then allow me to counter with this: if you go on any critic site like metacritic or what have have you, a vast majority critics and regular users have given the game low scores. That's more "factual" evidence that the game is bad than your Sonic book. And before you bring up that positive score from a critic that you used in the Unpopular Gaming Opinions dyo keep this in mind: It doesn't matter who it was. It's still an opinion. Also, the book is copyrighted(not written) by Sega, includes interviews by three of Sonic's creators, and is edited by Les Editions Pix'n Love. The fact that it hasb those interviews, proves nothing if anything it furthers the suspicion that Sega paid them off to talk positive

Exactly my point. It's their opinion that the game is good, and I agree with them. So if I quoted someone who said that the game is horrible and I agree with them. Where would we be. We already know people agree with you. Hell people in this thread have said that they agree with you. If you decide to quote someone that agrees with you, it doesn't mean that you are automatically right, but it does help the respective point of view in a debate. Different persons who defend the same point of view often have different reasons to do so and it may be because there is a reason why that point of view can be defended. What I'm saying is that if some people defend '06, they may have a good enough reason to do so (Disclaimer: I never played the game)

Considering that there is the whole "Only the glitch hunters find glitches" argument I will post this video
And list the ones that could be encountered via normal play.
-Stuck and can't move -"You mean the switch I just activated" -Teleporting is fun -Physics? What are those? -When scripted scenes go wrong -Falling Short -Sticky Walls -Between a boss and a hard place -Grind out your Frustrations -Three nice hot baths from the same glitch -It's just a fling -Small rocks! My one weakness! -Teleport into a script error
And of those in the list that don't negatively effect the game
-You mean the Switch I just activated? -Physics? What are those? -Grind out your frustrations (As I do not have the game anymore I cannot test if this one actually causes you to be stuck for a bit or you can just jump out whenever you want, if you get stuck mark it out of this list)
That's it. So to be honest it is very easy to encounter frustrating glitches without even trying.

After playing this game again today, I can safely say I find more enjoyment in this game than with Unleashed. If you've been paying attention to my posts in the past, you probably know what that means.

I have never played Sonic 06 so I can't exactly give my own experiences here, but I can give my two cents on the argument. If you want to say Sonic 06 is your favorite game of all time, well then more power to ya. Though I think it's safe to say that it's impossible to deny that it does in fact have flaws, and a lot of them at that. A game really should NOT have a boss battle that can trigger an infinite loop of being unable to die, and that is really something that cannot be defended as anything other than bad design/programming. I can see why someone might like it, of course, because it looks like it has elements of a good Sonic game and, if they decided to remake it and fix the bugs and errors in it, it could probably be a very good game. But its problems really aren't stuff that you can refuse to acknowledge, either. Even I have to admit that some of my favorite games of all time have some HUGE design issues, after all (Goddangit Hades' Heart...).
So yeah, I can get why its problems don't bother you or hurt your experience as a whole, but to not really acknowledge them as actual game design flaws is a bit of a stretch.

If they were to remake it and actually make it awesome they'd have to start from scratch. It's not just the gameplay or glitches that drag it down-the story, character models, and voice acting need serious work as well.

They fired all of the 4Kids actors. The different character models would come with the updated graphics. The story, however, was fantastic.

I honestly don't want to talk about this game anymore. It's creating too much tension.

I honestly don't want to talk about this game anymore. It's creating too much tension. Then why did you comment on it. It was dying out. Now you just pushed to the top of gaming discussion.
