Okay so this a thread where you talk about Sonic '06.
I've noticed that there's debate on this site over the game's quality (Unpopular gaming opinions) and I'd appreciate it if you'd continue it here.

I guess I will start the shitstorm. I think the game is medicore for the most part, and the worst game I have ever played. The game did do a little bit right like the final boss was Okay. The graphics were alright. I actually played this game when it was new. I beat the game after 2 months of stumbling my way past the sonic and shadow stages. One trend did happen. The Glitches became less frequent.

I'm going to regret talking about this game again...Sonic 06 is at the very least good when you play it like a normal game instead of deliberately TRYING to break it. Even if you can avoid them, the glitches shouldn't be there in the first place. Agreed though I don't mind glitches if they aren't easy to come across on your own by accident (glitch city, mew and missingno from Pokemon Red/Blue for instance) but when they are painfully easy to come across by accident like in Sonic '06 then we have a problem.

Then how is it that I have managed to play through the entire without experiencing any glitches on the PS3 version? The one which seems to be the only one to not show the Glitches constantly seen on every 360 version/video? I have only encountered 2 (depending on whether this one trick can be considered one, then 3): The fly to the sky on a box trick, and the trick to get past the one door in Silver/Amy's desert level.

The haters are more annoying than the issues they complain about.

The haters are more annoying than the issues they complain about. Haters is such a broad term. Sadly a hater has become someone who disagrees with my opinion. I think Detractors is a better term. I think that only the Sonic Part is really bad. I barely made it through most section.

I like something to say. Most of the time when a game is made for a multi platform developers tends to develop it as an XBOX game. Now obviously it makes no sense to do the same game again for a different console. Often then not they'll port the 360 version into another system.ie the PS3. Problem was it's the same.as emulation so there were problems. Most of my Marvel guys says the game actually has some inherent lag in the PS3. And this is offline. It's no suprise the glitchy nature of the game will be more pronounced in the PS3 version.

Okay, I will agree to that for some games (I can see the laziness from the developers/programmers then), but Sonic 06 is one of those cases where it's smoothed out on the PS3 version. This resulted in shorter loading screens, the graphics looking better, and overall less buggy.

I like it. After all, some train wrecks are pretty fun to watch.

The more I think about it, the more I realise that this game is a lot like classic Mega Man. It may seem frustrating at first, but it is in fact a difficult game. If you screw up, it's your own fault. Not the game's.

The more I think about it, the more I realise that this game is a lot like classic Mega Man. It may seem frustrating at first, but it is in fact a difficult game. If you screw up, it's your own fault. Not the game's. Okay, no. In the Sonic segment alone I have encountered -A tunnel that forces you to turn backward -The infamous sticky wall glitch -Mach segments that have led to cheap deaths as you are going so fast you barely have time to react to what's ahead of you -And yes the Silver Boss Fight is that bad. He grabs you with no warning, if you're up against the wall or in the air you can't escape and sometimes when you're cornered you won't be able to die because you will be tossed into your lost ring when you are trapped. I'm sorry but your statement is wrong.

Right now you are on the same level of credibility as the deveolper of Amy www.destructoid.com/amy-dev-claims-its-game-is-just-hard-instead-of-crap--219848.phtml

It's not the glitches, although it does has more of them than your average Bethseda game, that make 06 bad, it's just a poorly designed game. A guy named ClementJ642 made a series about 3 hours long just going into everything about this game and how it more or less is by far the worst mainline Sonic game.
Oh, and I don't consider things like the Snowboard allowing you to ride up slopes/the purple gem allowing you to jump forever as glitches, more like examples of how the game wasn't bloody finished.

I rented Sonic 06 at Blockbuster..played it until i got stuck on the Sliver Boss-Fight..and i pretty much ragequitted. I might buy the game and play it though..i think Clement's Video perfectly shows what is wrong with Sonic 06..
