Linebeck. F***ing Linebeck. Alright. To be fair, he isn't one of those characters that everyone can like. He's one of those characters that is a prick at first, but goes through genuine development. For example, if you're lucky, you will receive a letter from Linebeck in the mail saying how he's glad to have Link as a friend, but he's too embarrassed to tell him that in person. Secondly, at the end of the game, the Ocean King grants Linebeck one wish, and instead of wishing for money or treasure, he asks for his sunken ship back. This shows how he's grown from being a coward(which I believe had to do with his own self doubt) to a rather likeable fellow. If you like Groose of all people, you'll probably like this guy. The same can be said for Zelda in Spirit Tracks. That one scene where she goes on about Chancellor Cole taking her body was really just part of the game's humor. The fact that Zelda actually helps you in Spirit Tracks makes her one of few incarnations of Zelda that you actually care for. Oddly enough, I like Linebeck, but freaking hate Groose.

TEAM PLASMA.
I don't care what anyone says. I loved these guys. Care to explain why they ruined Pokemon Gen 5? Ghestsis is the only member who wanted world domination. Everyone else in Team Plasma was actually serious about liberating Pokemon, and that's COOL.

Emil from Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. A lot of people hate him for being whiny however they ignore the fact that he develops quite well during the game. In fact considering his situation he had the right to be whiny and to me he eventually stopped being whiny. Definitely better in comparison to Luke from Tales of the Abyss who does develop but is still whiny after character development.

One character that I find really overhated is Tails from the Sonic series. Why I find tails to be overhated is because there are a lot of stupid complaints against Tails. One complaint that I hear a lot about Tails is that he has an annoying voice. Everywhere I see people complaining about Tails' voice but he is young and I don't think Tails has an annoying voice compared to say....Charmy Bee. Another complaint I hear is that he is useless. So a person who stopped a city from being blown up, helped his friend get on a villain's airship so he can stop it (twice by the way), saved his friend from falling to his doom, and can lift his friends up and carry them to unreachable spots be considered useless? Wow I never knew helping your friends be considered useless. Want more proof that Tails is overhated? X-play Put Tails as number 1 on top 6 annoying sidekicks, and Guru Larry put Tails as number 3 in his top 10 annoying characters list (Oh by the way, Bubsy was number 4 on that list). For Sonic Lost Worlds Don't forget he turned himself into a cyborg AND BACK to save Sonic (I found that to be rather badass! I just kinda wished he stayed like that...)

Blue from Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal/FireRed/LeafGreen/HeartGold/SoulSilver/Black 2/White 2/Sick of this yet?
I don't get why people hate this guy. Because he made the smart move and chose the Pokemon with a type advantage over yours? Because he's faster than you? Because he says "Smell ya later!"?
Let's not forget, Oak prefers Red, a kid he pretty much just met, over his own grandson Blue, not to mention Blue is one of the few people in the Pokemon series to have a DEAD POKEMON. The whole Raticate thing? THERE'S NO WAY TO DISPROVE IT.

Navi from Ocarina of Time. Personally, I never found her annoying. Same goes for Slippy from Star Fox.

.... Was that because of the 'hate' post by Frollo? Jin is crazy asshole, but he does get his character development so he is also less murderous as time passes. However, if there's one thing you need to know of Jin, in basic way, it's just that he's a jackass supreme that likes launching death threats. Oh, and heavy bro-obsession or sorts. Yeah, except he's President Snow now lol (ironic isn't it?) I guess I can't say until I play it myself. I hate Jin as a charcter but i can understand why people like him..i just personally don't. I got to admit i kinda hate in the Blazblue storyline how they picture him as the Hero of Order that is going to defeat the Black Beast and restore order. I understand why pepole like Jin but you got to admit..he is not a good (In the standard definition of good) person

BlazBlue often has the 'problem' of 'great character cast, but the story is a mess'. But most of the complains today seems to be more like how it is a showcase of how Mori (the creator) just wanna showcase how he wants to hump his waifu like Noel (and by extension, the Academy trio) and Celica.
Speaking of 'overhated'... I'm actually quite infamous for this, but... am I wrong when I say that Litchi is 'overhated'? Well I guess 'hate' is too much of a strong word, maybe I should say 'over-disagreed'. A lot seems to be on the camp that believes that Litchi gleefully crossed the line of being 'Good' when she joined NOL. Chronophantasma shows her to be remorseful and not gleeful, but unable to get out (due to her situation and blackmail), but because she DOESN'T GET OUT, she's called to be obsessed and always the wrong party. Like I said in my Top 10, if you actually bother to see the situation, she is really showing the qualities of a tragic heroine we can admire and sympathize that we could agree that she's trying to do the right thing, but fate just isn't kind... instead of being an obsessed moron that went too far and no longer deserves sympathy.
And even the game gets on the act, instead making sure that her efforts to save Arakune were all fruitless, and making it like she should have listened to Kokonoe, who I see personally as someone even worse than Jin and instead she's what the games designated as the heroic (if amoral) helper. I really want the game story to dump her and make her the villain to be opposed instead of Litchi, really, but I'm sure the storywriter won't do that... In other words I think Kokonoe is what to me like Jin to you.
Yes, our opinions may differ but as long as we can accept them and not troll each other for it, I think it's all cool.
*looks around* ... I tried to be civil here... all right? I tried...

At least his boss fight in Generations was good.

I think the human villains in persona 4 are rather harmless compared to assholes the series has to offer.

Honestly i don't mind Conner Kenway. Sure he is rather bland but he is really not a bad charcter, he has a good back-story and a good motivation for his actions. While i am not a fan of AC3 Conner Kenway is not a bad charcter.

I think people overhate certain gen 1 pokemon because they think the genwunners worship them as all powerful gods. Charizard being a prime example. He is a bit too praised but is a very good starter in the end. Same with Pikachu, very good electric type.
