I've only played Awakening... I think I got addicted to it when I got it... I couldn't sleep, I just kept saying "1 more round." or "Must grind moar..."... I had a problem but I have it under control...

I got Awakening for Christmas, and I've really been enjoying it. Also, whoever changed f i r e to waifu is the best person.

First Sanic, now this. Didn't see that coming since none of the admins are into FE as far as I know.

I have a question for the FE fans here who've played the Jugdral games. This crossed my mind when I was doing extensive research for a future countdown.
If FE4 and 5 were remade, would you want them to be faithful to their original counterparts, or would you want them to receive additional gameplay changes that have been adopted since then? Awakening was a huge game-changer for FE, but I don't know how many of its conventions will be reused in the future. I think many of its design choices were brilliant because they made the game as easy or hard as the player made it. Optional level grinding, optional mechanics such as Pair Up and class changing, new support system, I liked those. But will those things be received well if incorporated into a Jugdral saga remake?
I would of course like for an FE4 remake to have supports. Duh. That is a must with FE now. Except I want it to be the new system where you can have unlimited supports but only one with S-rank. I can take or leave the Dual Strike and Pair Up systems. I would like for the reclassing system to come back if it's like the one from Awakening (much better than the one in Shadow Dragon). The one thing I hope they would keep is the separate generations of characters, and leave them separate. It was entertaining and sweet to see parents and children interact in Awakening, but doing that again would screw up the plot, and time travel doesn't really work in general.
So what do you guys think? If FE4 and 5 were remade, would you want them to take after Awakening in most design choices or stick to its old design elements?

I'm at the end of Awakening. I don't want it to end... And you can, just grind the ever filling hell out of every. single. character. This'll make it last near forever.

It he relationship system is probably my favorite part of this game. Character interactions are nice, but the best part is in gameplay where friends (or spouses) cover each other's backs. It feels damn good.

Haven't played the Jugdral games but I never want to see Pair Up again. It breaks the game so hard. It's okay in Awakening because the game has other elements that are broken but I'd never want to see Pair Up in another title. Bring back class changing though, that's fun.

Can anyone recommend what FE game I should play next? I've only played Awakening, if that matters at all.

Can anyone recommend what FE game I should play next? I've only played Awakening, if that matters at all. Depends. The best ones are all expensive. I really like Path of Radiance (and it's easy too) but it's super expensive, as is its sequel, Radiant Dawn. Fire Emblem 7 (GBA) is also incredible. It's not super expensive but it can get pricey. It's hard to find legit copies of any GBA game on Ebay, so be wary. Sacred Stones is good but one of the weaker entries. I like it a fair bit but that's mostly because of nostalgia. It's about as expensive and rare as FE7 is. Shadow Dragon...isn't all that great. Don't bother playing it until you've played the other titles. If you aren't adverse to emulators, you can play translated versions of Fire Emblem Gaiden (don't do that), Fire Emblem 4, Fire Emblem 5 (play FE4 first, also, this is the hardest one) and FE6 (Also crazy difficult). You could play FE12 which is just a remake of Fire Emblem 3. If you do play that, you're going to want to play Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon first.
