I'm not sure a Zelda MMO would work very well. The franchise doesn't exactly have the material for one. It have a certain formula that really limits it capabilities to have any real major MMO. For example, you can say that they will put in the dungeon and have people go through them, but I doubt there will be a lot of puzzle and exploration in there. Puzzle and Exploration is a fundamental part of Zelda, and there is going to be certain thing that need to be sacrificed in order to make this work. There will still be overworld exploration, but the dungeon are likely to be linear and have a limited amount of puzzle. There going to be a number of factors and needless to say, they might make a Zelda MMO, but will it really feel like Zelda? That is my concern with the idea. I still would like to see a Zelda MMO but it will not happen...

Well the concept of multiplayer 3D Zelda was played with in the Nintendoland minigame devoted to Zelda, which is actually pretty surprisingly good. If you were to take some of the concepts of that and maybe take it off rails, I can imagine multiplayer Zelda being pretty fun.

If something like that happens, it'll probably have 4 pallete swapped Links playable, but I have an idea for something a little different, directly inspired by Majoras Mask. It would have 4 separate playable characters, who would gain individual gadgets and upgrades as the game goes on. Here would be the player characters with some of the equipment they could get: 1. Deku Scrub-Deku Nuts, Deku Stick, Sling Shot (Could Upgrade) 2. Goron-Bombs, Bombchus, Hammer (Could Upgrade) 3. Zora-Hookshot/Whip, Fin Blades (Could Upgrade) 4. Human like/Stalfos-Sword (Could Upgrade), Bow (With Elemental Powers) The 4th one has a 2 to leave open for the story, just incase they decide not to use Link.

What about a 4 player Zelda game? Something like Four Swords, but in 3D. Some of the puzzles could be team based, you can only reach certain areas with more players, and so on and so forth. That would be certainly intresting but i doubt it will happen..
