Okay, need to get this off my chest. It's in regards to Toonami's new schedule for January 2014. And I say it's relevant to this thread because The Clone Wars is currently airing on that block.
TCW has been moved to the 5:00 A.M. Eastern timeslot, while Naruto: Uncut is taking its place in the 3:00 timeslot. Keeping personal opinions on Naruto out of this, what bugs me is that they moved it to a later timeslot in favor of reruns (and from what I hear, Uncut didn't even finish its run yet), and TCW is still relatively new to Toonami in comparison and isn't even half-way through its run. What's even more baffling is that TCW was doing surprisingly well in terms of ratings for its timeslot, even during Movie Month.
And now getting opinions on the show into the matter, they're doing this in the middle of the Ryloth trilogy, what I consider one of the best storylines to come from Season 1, and this was also around the point where the series started to get really good, got much darker (and what really gets its [adult swim] Toonami credit), and when Cad Bane was introduced.
Hopefully, when Samurai Jack airs on February, TCW will air next to it to properly balance out the Anime and western animation (Toonami could really use a bit more of that now that Time Warner's lost the rights to Thundercats 2011 and that Sym-Bionic Titan is currently not on air).

Actual news in regards to The Clone Wars. The bonus content (AKA Season 6) may not actually provide the intended conclusion to the series, but before Dark Horse Comics hands the rights to making Star Wars comics back to Marvel, it looks like they will be releasing a short comic series based on scripts for what would have been the intended final season. And one of them is a resolution to the story of a certain psychotic Dathomirian Nightbrother who survived losing his lower half and was last seen being tortured by the most evil man in the galaxy (Note: Looking through the comments, it turns out this arc was NOT going to be the series finale, just something they had written in advance; as for the actual finale, the medium has yet to be determined). www.newsarama.com/19979-star-wars-the-clone-wars-finale-debuts-in-comics.htmlI'm a little disappointed it's not making it to animated form, but hey, it's better than nothing, and we're at least getting a conclusion to a major storyline that was left hanging in Season 5.

More rumored plot synopses for the bonus content. www.starwarsunderworld.com/2014/01/rumor-more-clone-wars-lost-missions.htmlAgain, we still don't know if this is entirely true and/or if this is all we're getting, but from the sound of the description of "The Disappeared" sounds like the show was heading into H.P. Lovecraft territory (not too surprising considering the series got darker every season).

I just learned of another new character for Rebels revealed through LEGO set previews: Hera Syndulla. jedinews.co.uk/news/news.aspx?newsID=15305Why is this noteworthy? Well, it seems to be our first bridge between The Clone Wars and Rebels. In the former series, there was a Twi'lek freedom fighter named Cham Syndulla who aided Mace Windu in liberating his people in the Ryloth trilogy. Even though Hera's skin color is different, I wouldn't be surprised if she was Cham's daughter, especially since he was a resistance leader himself.

If you live in Germany, you're going to be getting Season 6 of The Clone Wars very soon. As in February 15. At this point, it's the airing schedule of Season 2's second half all over again.
As for the other animated series by Dave Filoni and Greg Weisman, we'll be getting the premiere movie this summer.
And it should not be making the same mistake that hurt The Clone Wars pilot movie: showing it in movie theaters. How did this contribute to it getting panned? It ended up getting some unrealistically high expectations when it was really just the first three or four episodes compiled together (and the fact that the production order of the early episodes wasn't the same as the airing order probably didn't help either), also explaining the somewhat loosely connected "acts" and some story elements not showing up until later. By airing it on TV, it shouldn't suffer those expectations.

I figured out why Season 6 is airing in Germany first. From what I hear, The Clone Wars was most successful in Germany, so they're being rewarded for their dedication. Also, Kevin Kiner, the composer for the series soundtrack (and maybe Rebels' soundtrack), has finally released 57 tracks from the series soundtrack online (while the pilot movie's soundtrack has been out for a while; despite the movie getting picked on a lot, most agree the soundtrack was awesome). www.kevinkiner.com/music/

Congratulations, I was just about to announce that, but now I don't need to. That's not all. According to the official Star Wars website, we'll also be getting the movie and the rest of the series (including the Director's Cut episodes). Now that I think about it, I probably need to rewatch the movie again to see if it's actually better when NOT watched in theaters. I've already got the DVDs for the rest of the series, and I got the director's commentaries. starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-clone-wars-final-season-the-lost-missions-to-hit-netflix-on-march-7.htmlWhat's more is that this is the first Star Wars work to actually be on Netflix.

Ah yiss, now that I can have access to the whole series I can finally watch all of it when it comes out, guess I have to binge watch both this and 24 when this comes out.

Interesting, Kind of reminds me of Kyle Katarn from the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series, and thats a good thing.

Interesting, Kind of reminds me of Kyle Katarn from the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series, and thats a good thing. I thought the same thing too when I first saw him. Only difference is the appearance, age and backstory (Kyle Katarn was a former Imperial turned Rebel mercenary and he didn't become a Jedi until after the Original Trilogy; Kanan, on the other hand, was a Jedi who evaded Order 66 at an early age and is trying to hide his past as a Jedi).
