Finished all 5 of the Song of Ice & Fire books so now I can read all these different fan theories.
Favorite character might be Sandor Clegane. He's the only character who's actually honest about how terrible of person he is so props for that. Tyrion, Barristan, Tywin and Arya round out the Top 5.
Martin also can't write female characters unless they're basically guys (like Arya). It's like once they get their period, they're massive balls of lust and fluid. One of the things that show did better than the books was Shae. Shae's just a horny teenager in the books but she's actually interesting in the show.

I quite like the whole Discworld series
Terry prettchett= britains greatest author As for me, i quite like enything done by neil gaiman (the guy who wrote the book Coraline) Everything he does is designed to be slightly out of touch with reality, such as American Gods (Which i love, but is definitely a more mature book) Also, Pig, if you like John stroud, im also a fan. I got the trilogy.)

Finished Lirael, moving on to what i believe is the final book, Abborson.
Lirael was good too, again not much to say about, except that the Disreputable Dog has to be one of my favorite characters in all of Literature.

About a week ago I finished 1Q84 Book 2, bringing in magical realism caught me off guard but then it clicked and all is peachy. Will read part 3 once I am done with The Sound of the Mountain (Yasunari Kawabata) and Les Fleurs de Mal (Charles Baudelaire)

Oh my god, Mogget is so snarky in Abhorsen and i love him. In the first two he was kinda just the guy who gave exposition and shit and now he's just a cynical asshole and i love him.

Cynical assholes are always hilarious. Bartimeus is the textbook example. Also, ive just finished reading the graveyard book. Its like a spiritual successor to the jungle book, and although i havent read that, i feel that the way this book makes you feel about life, death, and the ability to learn is really incredible. Go Neil Gaiman.

Books are for losers and you should all be ashamed that you read paper. Manga is technically a book. That's what I thought.

Books are for losers and you should all be ashamed that you read paper. Filthy modern peasant! XD Anyways I just finished Abhorsen, the final book in the series. Overall, the series is good but not great. The thing that's been bugging me is that Garth Nix doesn't pay enough attention to the elements he puts in place, Free Magic is an example. There were only 3 (5 if you count the Disreputable Dog and Mogget) elemental mentioned throughout the series, Those being the Stilken, Fenerek, and Hish, the latter of which is only mentioned instead of shown. Dead are another example. Only the Dead Hands, Mordicant and a couple of Greater Dead, were mentioned. We know there's more, but Nix doesn't give us more, and that's disappointing. I still can't say their bad books though, the characters are great, especially the aforementioned Mogget and The Disreputable Dog, and the story's pretty well told.

Read through The Thief Lord and Seraphina.
Thief Lord is pretty obviously a children's book, but it was an enjoyable read.
Seraphina was also an enjoyable read. It's basically a murder mystery mixed with politics, dragons, and half-dragon, half-humans.
