Okay so given the discussion surrounding RWBY (which admittedly I still need to watch) and Season 11 concluding this week, I'm surprised no one started a discussion on RvB yet. So seeing as I've been a fan for a while, I think I may as well start one (Akuma K actually starting a thread, there's something you don't see everyday).
Anyway Season 11, I really enjoyed it. The slower pace worked surprisingly well and altogether I enjoyed the return to the classic style of RvB (despite my suspicions that the main reason for it was to allow for work on both S11 and RWBY alongside each other). I enjoyed how they stripped it down to just the characters playing off each other for most of the season as opposed to bringing out the new threat towards the beginning. It gave the reveal and the following climax more impact in my opinion as the last battle became more about the emotions than the spectacle.
...and that ending, needless to say I am hyped for Season 12.

Quite the twist at the end of Season 11 no?
It was nice to see the series back to its roots. And the slower pace and buildup to the finale was great.

Personally for me it was less about the twist and more about the situation the group was left in at the end. Out of the main group the last few seasons have had a lot of the best moments go to Church, Washington or Sarge. Which is why what happens in this season (trying not to spoil it for those who haven't watched it yet) has so much impact. Looks like Season 12 is going to give the others their chance to shine which will be nice to see.

Yeah, it'll be nice to see.
I just hope nobody gets Sarge'd off screen.

I'm going to be honest, this season felt really short for some reason

Probably because of how long Season 10 was.

I'm a little slow on bringing this up but I noticed that the trailer for the Season 11 DVD gave a surprising amount away. Granted the plot doesn't really get started till about two thirds of the way into the season (before that it's mainly just the teams talking/bickering) but that was kind of the point. Kind of a weird decision there.

Weird timing on RT's part but SEASON 12 TRAILER!
You know I'm hyped! Start counting the days till the 28th
Edit: Forgot that April 1 is the show's anniversary. The timing isn't weird.

Interesting how they didn't show Wash nor Sarge in that.

Hopefully, this next season will be half hilarious and half badass, just like the trailer.
