I must say this is one great theory by MattPatt and PBG..to be honest i think this theory is true..even though it may seem farfechred at first if you think about it..it makes sense..

Nothing is canon unless the creator says so.

Nothing is canon unless the creator says so. It;s still a very good theory

Nothing is canon unless the creator says so. It;s still a very good theory Still non-canon. The Hero's Shade from Twilight Princess is confirmed to be Link from Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time so he lived till old age and probably married Malon.

Though that make me wonder where in OOT and MM did Link performed a shield bash. Don't get me wrong, it useful as hell in TP, but still it make me wonder.

And I just watched it. 'S cool. One of the less far-fetched theories he's done lately. Also, what caught my attention the most was probably the Soul Blazer and Terranigma tunes in the background. That's some pretty obscure shit right there. Still non-canon. The Hero's Shade from Twilight Princess is confirmed to be Link from Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time so he lived till old age and probably married Malon. I figured as much. Though that make me wonder where in OOT and MM did Link performed a shield bash. Don't get me wrong, it useful as hell in TP, but still it make me wonder. It wasn't there because Nintendo hadn't invented it yet. I'm sure that, if Nintendo completely remade those games from scratch, that would be one of the changes.

Or maybe Link learned it sometime after Majora's Mask.

You were doing so good until you mentioned the Malon part. Well where else did TP Link learn Epona's Song? It's mentioned that his mother knows that song.

It's probable Link in Twilight Princess is indeed Malon's descendant but not necessarily Link's, as the spirit of the Hero isn't inherited by blood.

Or maybe Malon went on to become an expert in animal husbandry, wrote down all her zoological knowledge (including the song), and those had still proven useful hundreds of years in the future. Or maybe the song itself is far older (and thus more widely known) than OoT's Malon, since MC's Malon sang it as well. Or maybe the developers just reuse the melody because it's something long-time players associate with horses, and why come up with a new tune every time when you can make a subtle continuity nod.
