I FINISHED IT! And here are my opinions: Random Pirate music videos are funny Plot TWISTS ahead captain! Brace for impact! Is it me or does the transformation breakdown in this case remind me of one piece? I UNLOCKED THE FEENIE SUIT! YAY! HA! Phoenix... Wait... how do I put up spoiler tags? I was REALLY hoping he would get hit in the face with the volleyball...
And that's about it. Its hilarious, go get it.

Okey dokie, beat the DLC. A couple of things I noticed. - Certain gameplay elements that weren't in the main game made it feel like this case was trying (and failing) to be Rise From The Ashes from the first game.
- Speaking of which Ema Skye gets referenced twice and yet never appears. Kind of a shame really.
- Also in an odd reference to the third game, Phoenix gives a small nod to the SPARTA gag from that game's third case (though he changes the wording).
That aside I really enjoyed this case. They threw in a few surprising twists, particularly that last one. Near everything that comes out of Athena's mouth manages to be hilarious or endearing in some way. The characters manage to be both extremely colourful and pretty complex. Overall it's just really really fun to play though. Not as good as Cases 3 or 5 in my opinion (and it's certainly no Rise From The Ashes as I've already mentioned) but it's definitely better than Cases 2 and 4. Also the unlock you get for beating it (which mariogman25 has already spoiled) is pretty nice. Definitely worth the purchase.

I didn't see those. Also sorry, didn't mean to spoil unlocking the Feenie Suit... but it's still hilarious, you've got to admit.

When Dr Crab tells you about the TORPEDO, Phoenix comments "I wonder if it's Super admin restricted desktop access password protected." Which is a reference to this exchange (which you get if you show the person at the computer company in T&T's third case something irrelevant):
"I'm sorry that data is SuPer Admin Restricted Desktop Access password protected." Maya: "SuPer Admin Restricted Desktop Access password protected!? What!? This is madness!" Phoenix: "No Maya, that is SPARDA. She won't tell us unless we say the right code word." (on a side note I forgot that it was SPARDA not SPARTA for some reason)
As for Ema, the references are pretty obvious. When Trucy gives Pearl the forensics kit, she's says that a detective friend of hers gave her it (Ema was a homicide detective in Apollo Justice). Also the glasses they wear to see the luminol reactions are the same ones Ema wears in all her appearances. Also don't worry about the suit, it's a small thing anyway. I do like that they added it.

Does anyone else find Dual Destinies insultingly easy compared to the other games in the series? Sometimes it practically tells you what to present. Even Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney didn't go that far, and that game also was pretty easy! Also, for a game that they advertised as "OMFG PHOENIX IS BACK", Phoenix isn't in the game very much. Hell, it could have been called Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies and it would make little difference, since Apollo has the same number of cases as Phoenix, anyway. Then again, I still haven't beaten it, so it might get better.

Then again, I still haven't beaten it (I'm at the fourth case, though), so it might get better. It gets a little better but you are right about it being super easy. There's no penalty for losing all your meter either. I feel like they should institute an old Sierra scoring system in the next game to make losing meter a larger penalty.

Then again, I still haven't beaten it, so it might get better. I've said this about the difficulty in both this thread and the "Games I recently finished" thread. They add hint features to stop people getting stuck but you will never get stuck in this game, ever. As for Phoenix, don't worry. He becomes much more prevalent in the last two cases (and the DLC case if you play it). His whole arc in this game focuses on him being the mentor to Apollo and Athena so it makes sense for them to be the focus for the first half (three fifths?) of the game.

I would love to see an AA Spin-Off starring Athena..she is such a great charcter it would make sense but on the other hand look what happened to AJ.. Only because the spotlight was taken by Phoenix. Plus the prosecution figured everything out so it puts a sour taste. The final villain is great but the way he was taken down left lots of people unsatisfied. DD is a pretty good AA game all things consider. I fully agree with people who said Blackquil is one of the toughest prosecutors since Edgeworth. They tend to put Simon in the number 2 spot as best prosecutor behind only Edgeworth. Also Apollo got the charger development he desperately needed in the last game. One scene will always hit me the hardest. Spoilers: Apollo: ...That's fine. Even a bluff will do...so long...as you can clear up this doubt inside of me!

This game us notorious for having typos most likely due to budget cuts. It's still a good game.
