More video game references in our MLP plz. As if there weren't enough already? They've referenced Pokemon and Zelda. Not to mention every main character is based on a Sonic character.

I refuse to Consider Twilight a true Alicorn (A hybrid of all 3 pony species) and instead refer to her as a Falco (A Pegasus/Unicorn Hybrid). She just lacks the physical strength that defines earth ponies, and as an Alicorn is a combo of all 3 species, if she was one she's had the strength... But she doesn't As an Alicorn, she is simply incomplete... Maybe this will be touched upon in a future episode...

I know the pokemon reference, but I don't know where this Zelda reference you're talking about is. 2. You're wrong as the main characters are based on characters from previous generations of My Little Pony, not characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. 3. There's nothing wrong with a lot of video game references, and I wanna see more in MLP.

So every time somebody uses hexagonal gems in some, it's a Zelda reference? That's a new one. Next you're gonna tell me these statues outside Castle de Haar are an homage to Rarity because 'hey look three diamond shapes'.

Eh, I also didn't think it was a reference, when I first heard about it, I thought that was going a bit too far. I just knew what he was talking about

I was talking about how the Diamond Dogs look like moblins, and also Twilight Princess.

Think: why is Twilight so antisocial and self-dependent at first? Why is Pinkie Pie so obsessed with Rainbow Dash? Why is Scootaloo treated like a sidekick to Rainbow Dash? Why does Rarity look so much like Rouge? Why is Princess Luna good at first, then turns evil and then back to good?

Outside of a couple of episodes (like the Wonderbolt Academy and Griffon the Brushoff) and fan-made things, I really haven't seen any instances where Pinkie was "obsessed" with Rainbow Dash. Scootaloo greatly admires Rainbow Dash, but when has she been a sidekick? The only time I can think of when the two were majorly featured together was in "Sleepless in Ponyville", and it was only in that episode when Rainbow finally took Scoots under her wing. I can see the parallels with Rarity, but she's not a thief (well, except in "Dragonshy") and she has a completely different personality from Rouge. I'd write it off as coincidence. And the "good turned to evil and then good again" trope has been done in other media, too.

They are both purple and white, and have the same color eye shadow. They're also known for being greedy, yet they still care about their friends, albeit less than themselves. Granted, Rarity isn't as much of a whore as Rouge is, but this is a family friendly show.

Why does Rarity look so much like Rouge? Why is Princess Luna good at first, then turns evil and then back to good? Incorrect on all counts. 1. Twilight anti-social behavior was a setup for the first episode to teach her the value of friendship. 2. As I recall there were only two episodes in which Pinkie acted that way. (Griffin Brush Off and Wonderbolt Academy) 3. Scootaloo's a character who idolizes Rainbow Dash, sees her as a sister figure and wants to be like her. (Which is sad when you consider the fact that she is handicapped.) Characters like that are common in media. And she's never been a sidekick, she's always hanging out with the crusaders. If she was a sidekick she would be hanging around with Rainbow Dash all the time. 4. Rarity doesn't look like Rouge, the only similarities I can see are the white coat and blue eyeshadow are a coincidence. She is after all based on the girly girl stereotype which also explains the latter and the gem obsession before anyone brings that up. And last time I checked she doesn't go around stealing gems like Rouge does. 5. Luna was possessed (word of Faust confirms it). Turning evil then good again is a common trope and if you're trying to imply that she's like Shadow the hedgehog they are NOTHING alike aside from that one common trope.
