Sleepy Rainbow Dash is the cutest thing I've ever seen. Isn't that popular? I don' t think it's popular to say that anything about RD is cute.

I don't understand the hate for Rarity and Derpy.

I don't understand the hate for Rarity and Derpy. Rare has redeeming qualities, but she's too whiny and pompous for my tastes. Derpy has no point whatsoever. Unlike other characters who are deemed "unnecessary," she doesn't contribute to the story in any way and her only real purpose is to cause flame wars. I'm aware of all the inspirational fan projects dedicated to Derpy, but that's really a fan interpretation of her character and wasn't intended by Hasbro.

I don' t think it's popular to say that anything about RD is cute. I remember a lot of people saying that about filly Rainbow Dash. Granted, most of that was due to how she was portrayed in My Little Dashie, but whatever, it was never wrong to say that RD is cute (She kinda is) I don't understand the hate for Rarity and Derpy. Rarity is a bit of a... complex character for some people. Yes, some people can look in depth into her character and say that she has the superior personality, but she also has some really visible flaws (her character trope included) and some people can't get past that. As for Derpy, it's not really a hate situation, more like a bit of that INVALID STATEMENT feel that some MLP fans have been getting due to the brony fandom saying that Derpy is the best thing of the show. I have to agree on that, some people take Derpy too far, to the point of saying that the show is sh*t without her (Yes, I'm bringing up that rant I found once again)

Rarity is a good character, but not the kind of character that everyone will like. Case and point: me.
Trixie, on the other hand, is indefensible.

This show needs to have some more episodes dedicated to side characters.

#32: I wasn't a fan of the mane 6 all writing letters to Celestia, that's Twilight's thing, damnit! I'm actually glad they changed it again in Castle Mane-ia

I wasn't a fan of the mane 6 all writing letters to Celestia, that's Twilight's thing, damnit! I'm actually glad they changed it again in Castle Mane-ia I think they did that to put Twilight at equal ground with the others. A major issue I have with this show is that they're always treating Twilight like she's the only main character, and the others are just support. I think the rest of the mane 6 should receive just as much attention as she does?

Even when the show has more than one protagonists, I appreciate when there is some kind of leader in the bunch

Because Twilight had to acquire those traits while Rainbow Dash already had them to back up her default personality I guess you're right. Even in my favorite animated show, Xiaolin Showdown, there was a character who acted like a leader, yet the official position was given to another in the finale. Who knows? Maybe Hasbro will pull off something completely unexpected and give one of the mane 6 an important role in a future season finale or premier. I just wish that Twi wasn't the only one to save the day.

I don't think Celestia is that bad of a character anymore. In the first two seasons, she was a complete pushover, but she's kind of grown. I like how she actually shows emotion in the season 3 finale and season 4 premier.

Again, I don't understand the hate for season 3. From what I've heard, people think the writers are only trying to please the bronies now, but that's a really bullshit argument. Is it so wrong that they keep us in mind when writing the show? It baffles me that people complain that the show isn't as girly as it used to be.

I like how she actually shows emotion in the season 3 finale and season 4 premier. This! I may like Celestia in the previous seasons, but I think that season 3 got it really right with her character. Again, I don't understand the hate for season 3. From what I've heard, people think the writers are only trying to please the bronies now, but that's a really bullshit argument. Is it so wrong that they keep us in mind when writing the show? It baffles me that people complain that the show isn't as girly as it used to be. Eh, it's the whole "pandering" argument again, which both me and some other users of this forum have already debunked. It's completely normal for the writers to want the same stuff as the fans, but just that doesn't make it pandering. And what's worse is that accusing someone of pandering to the fans is basically complaining because stuff that we wanted to happen happened. Had they not done that and went on the opposite direction, most people would be saying that they were ignoring us. Again, season 3 felt like a new direction while at the same time the show going back to its roots, it had once again what season 2 lacked, which was emphasis on characterization and development Because Twilight had to acquire those traits while Rainbow Dash already had them to back up her default personality I guess you're right. Again, my problem wasn't putting Twilight on equal grounds as the rest of the main cast, my problem was that the rest of the main cast now also had to write letters to Celestia. To me, that didn't make sense in the context of the story because the letters had a purpose that was only revealed in season 3, I'm actually glad they went with this direction in Castle Mane-ia, it sounds a lot better and less cheap than just "Now you all have to write letters" #33: The only MLP reviewer I still care about is Josh, and even then I would appreciate if his fans didn't keep bothering him about the MLP reviews and would let him do whatever the hell he wants
