Nintendo has registered " Quality of Life" trademark in Japan for many kinds of products. This coveres everything from portable gaming devices, stand alone gaming devices, to clothes, to merchandise, and beauty products. link

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, what's Quality of Life?

Looks like Ninty has been branching out as of late. First the soccer cup, next quality of life, and it will finally end in them becoming the Supreme Ruler of the Everything.

Take that sony and microsoft fanboys! Actually, Nintendo's always been a rather branched out company. It's only been in the past 25 years or something the almost solely focussed on video games. In the past they've done playing cards, a TV network, light gun games (I'm talking the similar-to-but-not-quite-as-messy-as paintball variety here), instant rice and even love hotels. To be honest, I'm quite happy to see them branching out again, although I wonder how much their current reputation will weigh them down. Not that they have a bad reputation, but I'm not sure how many people (that aren't into games) would be willing to buy, say, a Nintendo refrigerator.

Well, Nintendo clearly invented Quality of Life.
