Here you can talk about Levels or Areas in games that not only were good, but felt awesome to get through.
Here are 2 of mine: 1. Sacred Icon/Qurantine Zone (Halo 2): This takes the concept of the worst level in the first Halo, picks it up, and puts it's life back together. Even though they are technically 2 levels, they flow into each other directly, so I'm counting them as one. Let me just list why this level is awesome: -Jackals as allies for the first and only time -Slides with scare chords -Level exclusive enemy: A giant Forunner Sentinel that shoots tiny missles and picks up vehicles -Blue Sentinel Lasers -A nice long vehicle section -Flood driving human vehicles like Scorpions and Warthogs for the first and only time -An epic Flood bashing with Elite comrades -A cutscene that involves The Arbiter fighting Sgt Johnson, getting betrayed and thrown down a pit by a gorilla, and falling to the lair of a Venus flytrap flood monster -And it's snowing the whole time
2. World 8-7 (New Super Mario Bros Wii) This was the craziest and funniest level to play with friends, and always felt awesome to complete. If Nintendo ever makes an amusement park, the Bone Roller coaster needs to be a ride.

Pretty much every level in Xenoblade, but especially Eryth Sea, Bionis's Leg, and Fallen Arm. The Quick Man stage in Mega Man 2. Egg Fleet/Final Fortress from Sonic Heroes. Metal Harbor from SA2. Emerald Coast from SA1. (Sonic)
I'd say more, but they could be in future countdowns.

Thats a tough one lets see:
Dangerous Crossing from Tribes: Ascend: This map has a simplistic design choice but it's quite fun. There's basically one bridge on this map that you can take if you want but most players don't, on either end of the bridges lie the two bases. You can go quite fast on this map if you know how to Spinfusor jump effectively, and theres no generator so Tech's actually repair the Turret and Radar Sensor when they go down instead of ignoring them completly.
Katabatic from Tribes: Ascend (Again):Lots of ways to approach the enemy base, which gets a thumbs up from me, theres even two ways to enter the generator room, which is a huge thumbs up from me. You can also fit a Beowulf inside the Generator room. Do it, because it's hilarious.
Mario Bros from SSBB: I'll admit i only love this map because of how fucking chaotic it is, especially when those fucking crabs go on steroids
Tricks and Traps from Doom 2: I FUCKING LOVE THIS LEVEL! It's a total joyride from beginng to end with the amount of fucking demons there are in this level, the amount of ammo you get, and the amount of fucking secrets there are, make this one of my favorite levels in Doom 2

Let's see...
Majority of levels from Hawken. I felt they had very cinematic feels to them (I'm going to make a movie with this game, I swear).
World That Never Was from Kingdom Hearts 2, especially Final Mix. The atmosphere was ominous, the awesome music, and amazing boss fights.
Magatsu Inaba from Persona 4, same reasons as above.
Aquarium Park and Asteroid Coaster from Sonic Colors. The former was just simply beautiful for a water level in a Sonic game, and the latter...it's just freakin' intense.
The Fiendlord's Keep from Chrono Trigger. The music is ominous, the boss fights are amazing, and this level creeps me out... for a pixelated game in the 90s.

My favorite Sonic level of all time is, I kid you not, Pirate's Island from Sonic Rush Adventure. It is an amazing water level, I love the design and background and the music is great too.

The final chapter of Part 3 in Radiant Dawn. YES. Actually, most of the Ike vs. Micaiah maps are awesome. My favorite of those would have to be 3-13.

Diggle Hell and the Strange Dimension from the Dungeons of Dredmor DLC Conquest of the Wizardlands. Diggle Hell can be accessed on accident or on purpose by mistyping a Wizardland code from magical graffiti found throughout the dungeon. It's filled with every kind of Diggle in the game, including Arch Diggles, and has a boss called Vlad Digula who is so powerful, there is basically a 1 in 3 chance that he will instantly kill you. There are only 3 ways out of Diggle Hell. 1, reloading a previous save (bad luck if you turned on Permadeath (do it if you are a true rogue)). 2, killing Vlad Digula, which is much easier said than done, and 3, Death.
The Strange Dimension is kinda like Diggle Hell, except it's on pure accident, it uses enemies from the entire dungeon, and there isnt a special boss, just the occasional bosses from other floors.
