I still really enjoy the game..even if it is not that dark.. At least you see why the game is disliked by some people, at least as an SMT, right? I do see why. And sorry about yesterday, I realized I was arguing with someone over their personal preference. |

Honestly the only complaint I can get behind is Knuckle's new look. The rest is baseless.
Though if this reboot work, we might see more if it.
And Sonic needed a reboot of some sort unlike another series (looks at DmC))

Alright well...I can't say I'm that hyped about this yet. I'll be honest, there are things that kinda bug me that I find it hard to get past atm.
I can't really judge gameplay yet due to how little I have to work with, but it does look decently fun. Doesn't look very standard Sonic, which could be either interesting or meh, depending on how it goes.
Bangarang in the trailer...I'm going to make the assumption that the game does not have an official soundtrack yet. I can see why a Skrillex song would be used for a trailer instead of that, but I can't imagine it being used for the actual game. I hope we see some good original music out of this in the long run.
Visuals, though....hoo boy. I want to stress that I don't hate the redesigns in theory. I like Sonic's bandana and the bandages and stuff, and I like Amy's and Tails' current designs. Amy actually looks a little bad@$$ even. The main thing that bugs me is the proportions. I mean...yeah, Knuckles is the glaringly obvious one, with his uber-muscle thing going on. I don't personally find it appealing even if it makes more sense, as his face simply doesn't match the body structure for me. It reminds me of Jasper Batt Jr with his kiddy face on the buff body. It just doesn't look right. But Sonic bugs me too now. His limbs are longer and more...human-y in proportion. It looks awkward as heck, to be honest, like and Enderman with moving joints. The graphics atm aren't something I'm a fan of either. The models didn't look too crisp or appealing. They seemed okay-ish, but something about them just looks really off to me...like the faces don't look that great to me or something. It's hard to tell exactly what bugs me about them.
Anyway, my point is that I'm a little skeptical so far. I'm not an overall fan of the current graphics, the gameplay doesn't entice me yet, and the music I'm just hoping is filler right now for something original. It doesn't look terrible, mind you, but given that it's TECHNICALLY a game licensed with a tv show...I can't help but be a tad worried. Still, hopefull my fears are put to rest and the game ends up great. Fingers crossed.
