No, I don't mean the accounts who only posted a few times. I mean the accounts who had never posted and were never active since the day of registering.
I have one question about these accounts: What is the point of making an account if you aren't going to use it?
Can you contact these accounts and ask them why?
If these accounts are never used, can you just get rid of them?
Just a thought.

Might be bots.

But still, what is the point of the bots?

One of my friends from YouTube has an account here just so he can view my countdowns. He's never posted. So... I wouldn't call it an ideal solution to just delete accounts with no posts.

We've had multiple discussions about this in the past - stretching back to V1, if I recall correctly. The general consensus was that some inactive accounts just may be legitimate users, and deleting accounts indiscriminately just because they were inactive might be a bad idea.

Can't we install the system from V3 that helps decrease that?

Eeeehhhh I can see the negatives and the positives here.
On the one hand, this site doesn't have a guest mode. I checked. So in order to look at countdowns and reviews on this site and such, you DO need to register.
...I don't really see why these people don't post though. They have an account. Might as well use it. There could be a legitimate reason, but for now, since I haven't heard anything...well, I'm gonna assume they think we bite or something.

Well, I think I need to clarify a bit more now on the petition: I want the admins to look at everyone who has not done a thing on the site and email them to ask them to clarify if they are not a bot or if they are. If they are a bot, the admins can delete their accounts.

If they are a bot, the admins can delete their accounts. I just counted it up. We have from the time of this post 84 accounts with 0 posts. Basically you're asking us, a total of 3 people to email all 84 of these people and not only keep track of replies, but actually expect a bot to reply that they are a bot. This is a tad ridiculous if you ask me. Honestly, this is a transition site, we'll get to V4 soon enough. You don't need to worry about accounts that aren't yours, just worry about your own for now. When we get to V4 we'll try to implement Camelslayer's inactive account deleter thing, so don't worry about it really.

There's really no reason to bother. I've been lurking because I've felt no need to really say a whole lot. If people want to lurk, let them lurk.

(Blazerfm and swagalaur are the two I'm refering too)
