Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus.
...
Oh come on, you guys knew this was coming.
IT. WAS. AWESOOOME!! Short, but AWESOOOME!! They really hit the mark with this installment. And even though it was short they used every bit of that time efficiently, leaving no space for a dull moment. All the new weapons were a BLAST (wink wink) to use. And the new characters they introduced (Vendra and Neftin) are just soooo CUTE! I wasn't really fond of Neftin when he was first shown in the game's trailer, but when I got to know him and his relationship with his sister Vendra, I just couldn't help but love him - Vendra too, of course. Especially at the end of the game.
I won't lie though, a part of my experience was kinda ruined, but it was really my own fault. I believed the game was a PREQUEL to the Future series, but it's actually the EPILOGUE. There's a certain event that happens in the game where I told myself, "Not to worry, it's the prequel so nothing's concrete. Also, if what I just saw was true than the Future series could never be legit." BOY WAS I WRONG. I should have been all sentimental and sad and depressed and shit but, thinking it was a prequel, I kept telling myself not to worry and kinda ignored the scene. When you play the game you'll know what I'm talking about. It's a cutscene near the very beginning of the game - can't miss it.
I won't spoil the game for anyone wanting to play it anytime soon or in the future, but let me just say that through my playthrough I was kinda disappointed the devs hadn't put the groovitron in the available arsenal, that was until I reached a certain part of the game that showcased the groovitron in such a spectacular and freaking AWESOME way. I think I'll play the game all over again just to get to that particular part.
Also, the museum in this game is the best thing EVER. I never wanted to leave.
Ooh, and one last thing. Again, no spoiling here, buuuuuuuut the ending hinted at a veeeeeeery possible sequel... Aw who am I kidding? There's definitely going to be a sequel, and I can't wait!! *fangirl squeal*
If I had a favorite R&C list, this game would be in the top 3, easy. THAT's how good it is!
PLAY IT.
