Yeah, maybe I should (Is it up yet?) Look at the forum news or forum announcements at the board index, both link you to it. =P

For those who are still around here, I guess we'll use this ol' thread for the album group unless Ammy gets here and says otherwise.

Probably a good idea, give a week or so for everyone to find their way back here.

Welcome back Magus! Also, should we wait for N7, CoolVortex and Ammy or do you guys want to go ahead and continue the rotation?
Edit: Move back to V3 folks. V3 is down still, we'll try to restart this thing, if we can.

I am totally here and such. We may as well start a new rotation. This rotation will coincide with Movember so let's make the theme albums by bands with good facial hair on at least one of the members. Trans Continental Hustle (Gogol Bordello)

I approve of this rotation. Which reminds me, I still need to shave.
Edit: Annnnnnd I just realized HotterdanArul is Ammy. Sorry Ammy.

Haven't listened to album yet, will be posting thoughts soon though. My choice is: Painkiller (Judas Priest)
We gonna be listening to a staple in heavy metal. Strap yourselves in because in terms of just straight up heavy metal, there's not a lot that's as fast, heavy and powerful as this. I'll be posting full thoughts on this album later but just have a good time with this. It's not a deep listen by any stretch of the word but it's so well put together so I don't really care, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.

It's good to see you again N7!
Anyway, I was thrown off by Trans-Continental Hustle. I was initially expecting something a lot less, energetic I guess when compared to the actual album. What I got was a fairly fast paced album through and through. There's no slowing down in this album really, save for Sun on my Side (Correct me if I'm wrong on that one). That being said, the album felt a bit samey after a while, getting a tad bit boring by Uma Menina. The instrumentation felt like at times it was going at a faster pace then what it really should have been, kind of hurt it really. Except for maybe the acoustic guitar when it's by itself. That's always nice. The vocals are kind of cheesy, the good kind though. They were really nice and I enjoyed them a lot. My favourite song is Break the Spell, a bit of a hit with me.
Also, Gogol Bordello has a nice mustache. Would give 8.5/10.
1. Gogol Bordello - Trans-Continental Hustle
