Well, if I do join it, there are a few things I'd like; VIP member group, not admins or mods, but familiar faces on CT get new group. No real perks, but just away to make long time members stand out more. NO more individual screen name colors for forum staff like on v3, stick with staff rank color only. Please don't do that again. The first one will feel no different to non-VIP's to how you felt on the old forum which IIRC was pretty crap. Staff gets different names basically to aware others to who is in charge. We'll have rep again so basically if it's used correctly instead of "+1 Just because" "+1 because happy birthday" "+1 because why not?" and other idiocy like that, the higher rep one has, the better off one looks. The second one, maybe. I'm not one for changing my name color around, but it's Avaril's choice on this one if we do or not. While I do want user icons, I'm staying neutral on this one.

They're just colors. Besides, if someone is confirmed as a mod, then they should be able to decorate themselves up a bit and get a few perks. Otherwise, what's the point? Actually, I agree with Amy here. Towards the end of v3 the forums staff kinda went a bit more in the direction of "the cool kids on the block", and not "the people in charge of not letting the forum burn down". So yeah, consider that a "feature"; There will be one colour for mods, and one colour for admins.

Ok, I think I'm just worried about adjustment issues.

Is it possible to increase the avatar size restrictions or is that locked? One of the cooler things about this site is that my avatar doesn't have to be the size of a thimble.

I don't know about the achievement system Avaril, remember the stuff that happened on the Wiki when it had one? I actually was part of that craziness and even then I agreed that it led to useless junk being put on the thing. So I don't think it'd be a good idea to have one for a forum.....

I'll see what I can do, but I can't promise that since the postbit is placed differently. (Personally, I'd like to avoid too much wasted space.) Oh, and can we please be able of changing our display names if we feel like it? Looked into that, and it's practically impossible. ProBoards works with two separate names; a username (which you log in with) and a nickname (which is shown on your postbit). MyBB uses only one. I don't know about the achievement system Avaril, remember the stuff that happened on the Wiki when it had one? I actually was part of that craziness and even then I agreed that it led to useless junk being put on the thing. So I don't think it'd be a good idea to have one for a forum..... Yeah, I remember that. The benefit of the achievement system I installed is that it's completely customizable, so I can keep the requirements sensible.

Can have things like option to have achievments and reps disabled?
I'll be honest, in the chance I do join v4, I'm not really any more mature. I can honestly say i feel uneasy about it, because I fear myself being a problem.

Yes, though not all of it I was really deserving of. Now before anyone else complains, my main point is I don't know yet if I can handle my jealousy issues over such seemingly trivial things. I think the option to disable might be nice in case seems like might be a problem. Even with a system set up so people can't spam reps or achievements or whatever, it can still be a cause of jealousy. So, I'm simply bringing it up before anything happens just in case.

If you find yourself a problem stop dwelling over what may happen and deal with it when it happens. Or if you learn to let those problems go instead of obsessing over how someone got promoted or how I have a pink name color or something that will help too. If you realize its trivial ask "why the hell should I care" everyone can't have everything so don't focus on the trivial stuff.

The reputation system will always be on, just as an extra motivator for people to not be a butt. Giving users the ability to opt out of that kinda undermines it.
