One less evil man in the world I suppose. I just hope that with the the organization slowly dies out too....but it most likely won't.
Personally, I wish no ill will towards this man's family or friends since I don't know them, but I still don't appreciate the behavior of him and his ragtag bunch of racists and homophobes.

You can only do so much inbreeding before your organization collapses.

People don't seem to realise that picketing his funeral would completely destroy the moral high ground that we currently hold. If there is a funeral, let them have it in peace or summat similar. WBC is definitely full of twats and they ain't gonna stop, this might even make them come back with a vengeance but provided we don't stoop to their level we aight. Despite this, I can't help but be appalled by the fact that they themselves (the WBC members, that is) asked for the picket to be cancelled out of moral concerns after all the shit they've done. If people want to be shitheads and picket on Phelps' funeral, that's wrong, for they will stoop nearly as low as Phelps himself did, but his family is in absolutely not in the position to ask these people for dignity after so clearly showing they don't have a single drop of dignity running through their veins. Doesn't mean I support the picket, but the blatant hypocricy dripping off of the Phelps family by explicitly confirming that picketing on funerals is, in fact, immoral (but not apologizing for it whatsoever, mind you) to me shows a total lack of compassion and empathy on their side. For all these years, were they really too stupid to realize that protesting against homosexuals, the army and whatever else they deemed inappropriate, might, you know, hurt someone else's feelings? It's ridiculous. That being said, I don't exactly shed a tear because of Phelps' death, but it's not like it's really of use to society either. The damage has been done, he spawned a whole new generation of cult members who will be protesting against homosexuals and common sense for the forseeable future. Celebrating his death would be pointless and wrong.

For a different perspective . . . there is some sadness for him, because he has no more chances to change and turn to actual noble pursuits.

I never thought you disagreed with me either, and now I feel like elongating this series of quotes.
