I'm inclined to agree with this. Yes, this event is awful, but with social media finding all these incidents just to get hits, I'm starting to come to the point where my reaction is "that's the world. It's screwed up and it's always been that way." I think I'll feel differently when this hits close to home (natural for a human), but until then... I guess people like me are just hopping on the media craze. Think about it. When is the last time you ever saw a positive article covered by the media? Not in a long damn time. It's getting to the point where i think humans can only look at the negative side of things, and because of the mass media hype, everybody is buying a ticket to that train. Positive articles are not existent in media. Which is owed the known fact that people are naturally drawn to jumping on negativity. Some psychologist needs to study that.

I know that story. I go to Iowa State University, and it happened right on Central Campus during one of my classes! It was fortunate that it wasn't a passing period, or else a lot of students could have been in danger. ...But back to the main topic, I really do think people should stop spreading stories like this all over the internet. It doesn't really do anything except work people up. And then we all forget about it until the next incident happens.

Requieance en pace. (Pretty sure I spelled that wrong) And I agree with what everyone else said. Why not talk about the boy with bone cancer that got to go see one of his best friends ski in Sochi? That was really touching.
