"sigh". I don't believe in revenge at all but man this guy..just annoys me. Anders Breivik - The Norway Killer who is currently serving 21 years in Prision has gone on a hunger strike..the reason why well..The demands include better conditions for his daily walk and the right to communicate more freely with the outside world, which he argues are in line with European rights legislation. He also demanded that his PlayStation 2 games console be upgraded to a Playstation 3 "with access to more adult games that I get to choose myself". Breivik also wants his standard weekly allowance of 300 kroner ($49, 36 euros) to be doubled, particularly to cover his postal charges from written correspondence. Other demands include an end to daily physical searches, and access to a PC rather than to a "worthless typewriter with technology dating back to 1873". Yeah..No. You killed 77 people..personally i don't think he deserves a Playstation 3. While i certainly don't think he should be executed he should have no rights to a PlayStation 2 or 3 infact i think he should be doing labor instead of complaining that he does not have a Playstation 3..it also baffles me that this guy is only serving 21 years in misprision..he frankly deserves a life sentence but hey that's how the justice system works in Norway so i can't really dissagre with it. link

Really?! If it were not for how many people this guy killed, this would be fricking hilarious.
If it were me I'd have him take an involuntary hunger strike.

Just let him starve. No one who killed so many people without remorse nor justification deserves that much.

He only got 21 years for 77 murders? Damn, imagine how little time you have to spend in jail for one murder. Norway must have one of the highest crime rates in the world (no offense, Norwegians).

It's a reformative person system that focuses on rehabilitating its inmates instead of punishing them. Personally, I think Breivik is a lost cause but he's the rare exception. I have a feeling that Norwegian prison laws will be changed around the time he's set for release either way. He only got 21 years for 77 murders? Damn, imagine how little time you have to spend in jail for one murder. Norway must have one of the highest crime rates in the world (no offense, Norwegians). Incredibly low actually. See, people aren't incredibly violent by nature. Many don't murder for the hell of it. And repeat offenders are nearly non-existent. Rehabilitation works far better than punishment. At least, in Norway it does. I'd love to see the US trial run their system in a few cities across the country and see what the results are.

It really depends on the situation surrounding the murder. Murderers can be rehabilitated particularly if they are repentant. Plus a long prison sentence isn't necessarily a good thing (unless it's outright life imprisonment but I'll come back to that). People get used to it, and once they're released they are sent out into a world that they're no longer familiar with. I think a short sentence of rehabilitation can be better than 20 years in prison, depending on the person in question of course. Breivik on the other hand has shown no remorse for his actions, he's a narcissist and his crime was a premeditated massacre of innocent people. There are several very rare cases here in the UK where a murderer is sentenced to life without parole (though last I heard they were lobbying for the right to have their cases periodically examined). This guy should probably be kept in prison for the rest of his life and should definitely be ignored when he pulls attention grabbing stunts like this.

I love how no one is paying attention to the fact that the prison has a PS2 that prisoners can use.

21 years for 77 murders? That's...let me do the math....4 months or so per murder. That's...ludicrous. As for the PS3, I find throwing tax dollars at entertainment for criminals to be a waste of tax dollars (which I'd say is a crime in itself), but nothing worse. I'd say it'd be better to spend those tax dollars on say, science or education or police or military purposes, but why waste money on those unimportant things?
