In this thread we choose songs that can work in video games whether be it for a character theme or for a boss fight.
I think this would make an awesome final boss theme:

The difficult thing about this thread is what actually qualifies as a "real song." Can I use a song in a different language than mine?
But I think I'll just play things safe and say GHOST. LOVE. SCORE. WHY ISN'T THIS IN A GAME YET?!

Most if not all of Jon Gooch's songs under his Feed Me project would be great for video games, especially the stuff on his Calamari Tuesday album. E.g. Short Skirt, Lonely Mountain, and Rat Trap (which was used in Need For Speed Rivals)

Daft Punk- Get Lucky Reasoning: I HAVE NONE! BECAUSE WHY NOT! (It would work good as Easter Egg Music... speaking of which) Also SAIL! Because it's good credits/dramatic moment music!

Well, I would say that the Nostalgia Critic's theme song is actually somewhat good for a game. Also, I'm a Distraction. Wynaut.
And GHOST. LOVE. SCORE. I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH. AT LEAST PUT IT IN SONIC OR SOMETHING.

This should go with Saints Row IV because it goes well with its "fuck around" nature.

A lot of electronic music (generally ambient and microhouse-ish stuff) can go well in vidya imo as long as the setting is futuristic. Examples include:

For the final boss of Lunar: SSSC in particular, something I thought recently is a particular song that would go amazing with it: On the Backs of Angels by Dream Theater.

Are you all not realizing this is essentially what Guitar Hero is in the first place?

Are you all not realizing this is essentially what Guitar Hero is in the first place? We know that, it just that we believe it would be cool to see song from bands and musician in games outside of Guitar Heroes. Because let face it, one of the most badass thing that can happen is fighting a boss to a Tool song. Especially The Grudge, that would be amazing.
