Well it fits, I definitely agree with you on that, but still... I have been a Sonic fan since 3 and Knuckles so seeing his new design comes completely out of nowhere. But who knows, maybe I'll get used to it. If they change his personality too I mgith actually like him. On another note, my mind is so wavering that I still don't know what to think, but I have to say one thing. Sega is doing a great move with this in any way you look at it. At least, in my point of view. I can't wait for all the videos saying Sonic is dead and saying this is going to be worse than Sonic 06..i am just going to sit with my popcorn and laugh Oh man, you don't even know half of it. I'm a moderator at a Sonic forum and the news it going around there already, more to the side of negative than the positive side. But after all these years I will still stay a Sonic fan, and do not even consider him ever being dead. Okay, Sonic 06 was terrible but it has potential nonetheless. |

*hears skrillex* Ok Sega why? Other then that though what little we see of the gameplay looks decent enough, but after trying out Sonic: Lost World after how that looked I can't trust Sega This is not made by Sonic Team so we have a bit of hope.. |

So there's going to be a Sonic Boom game huh? I approve. I like the idea that they're bringing out a new animated series with a game to accompany it. Maybe tying in to each other. As long as they don't screw it up.
As for the designs I am mixed. They're a bit more kiddy (and I see the fanbase going after them with venom) but I actually kind of like them. I like the scruffier look to Sonic. Tails and Knuckles are okay and Amy's design is actually an improvement if you ask me.

Sonic and Tails look like they belong in a steampunk kind of universe. Which would be okay if Amy wasn't so hip, but damn is she sassy.

I don't see the issue with Knuckles. He looks about the same, only bigger and with bandadges on his hands. Whoop de doo.
And quite frankly, it suites him. Knuckles is supposed to be the guardian of one of the most powerful energy sources on the planet. You would expect it be guarded by a big strong dude with spiked fists.

Sega isn't that daring. and here's the trailer for the TV series. *sigh* Oh boy, I'm not liking the looks of this. On the bright side Roger Craig Smith has really settled into the role of Sonic now and Mike Pollock is always great as Eggman. The animation looks pretty good too. However the dialogue is pretty stupid (don't know what I was expecting really). Also good to see Tails is doing a great job keeping that plane maintained. *facepalm* What's stopping him flying away anyhow? Oh God I'm over-analyzing a trailer for a kids cartoon. I think I need to go lie down. (It's alright really, I'm exaggerating) |
