Eli shoots him in retaliation.
"Here is your 3 of a kind!"
A jeep not driven by anyone burst into the room and knocks Eli off his cart. He makes a loud scream and passes out. He seems normal in his mind.

A pair of shadowones emerge from the ground, and then they take Eli and vanish without a trace.
When Eli wakes up, he s loomed over by a group of shadowones.
"Join us."

Back at the base, the cart shoots wildly around the room. Inside the cart, beastly shouts are heard.
"You damn hunters are really pissing me off!"

The cart stops aimlessly shooting.
"Okay, I surrender! I'll tell you anything you want to know."
It drops Eli's gun.

(A colossus would be incapable of possessing you, but a shadowone would. Basically, the shadowones created the colossi in order to serve as brainless slaves to them. A colossus would also be incapable of speech.)
