castlevania. used to hate the controls and by the time i was properly introduced to it...twilight was still relevant. i think you can guess my anger from there. but recently i decided to pick it up and give it a fair chance (i mean the only two i had previously played were simon's quest and judgement; nothing wrong with that game but i dont care for fighting games) and sure enough despite the fact that i keep dyeing over and over and OVER again!...i'm having a ton of fun with it. particularly super castlevania 4(thank you ouya) as well as rondo of blood and symphony of the night (thank you dracula x chronicles)

Other M...for the worse. Persona...the same.(once you know about the main series, you realize the faults of Persona.) Megaman...for the better(Used to be indifferent to it, now I do enjoy the games and have the Zero sub-franchise in high regard)

Let's not forget the unforgivably slow battle pacing. And the unreasonable save times... Is it bad that I didn't notice any of these problems? The only problem I think the Gen 4 games have is that they're a grindfest.

I don't think I've ever had to grind during the main story of a Pokemon game before. I used to hold the Gen 4 games in higher regard due to the physical/special split. After playing Saphire and Firered some more, I realized how barely noticeable the change was for any non-Ghost type.

Also, FireRed gave Bite, despite being a Special move, the ability to trigger Poison Point.

I used to really like Earthbound. Now I find bits and pieces of it to be really boring.

Pokemon Conquest.
At first I really wasn't a fan of pokemon conquest, it felt rather boring and something really annoyed me about it. However after my second playthough... I honestly really enjoyed the game... I don't know what it was that changed my perspective on it...

I used to think that Sonic '06 was a good game. Now I still enjoy it, but I admit that it's terrible on a technical scale.
And for those of you who think I'm a whiny Sonic fanboy, look at it this way: if I really had a problem with other people disagreeing with me, I'd have no friends. As of this post, I have ten friends on the forum and Chip knows how many in real life. Your opinion matters just as much as mine.

I used to like New Super Mario Bros Wii quite a bit, and I still like New Super Mario Bros U, but after having played the same levels in the Wii one over and over and over and being yelled at for doing well when my little nephew makes me play it with him (my little nephew being cute but a huge troublemaker) has made me a little bitter towards it. Same for multiplayer Sonic Adventure 2, but if I play with my sis and I'm actually allowed to do well, it can still be fun.

I used to enjoy Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon despite its shortcomings... now I find it utterly lackluster and boring. I don't really get much fun out of Super Mario Galaxy 2, either - I used to like it and not care about it being a blatant copy, but going back to SMG1 and then going back to 2... ugh.

I'm starting to think that fighting games aren't my thing. At least in content. Unlike most people if there is a story mode, or any form of a single player mode, I play that more than the real reason people play them, the multi player. Yeah, it's fun to play it with a friend, but if you play alone then they lose their replayability. Once you unlock all the characters, then there's no more reason for me to keep playing.
