There's a lot you didn't mention. The Chaos Wars was about a group of users getting turned into mods to fight a war against Trots, which are hybrids of Trolls and Bots. What ensued was a story of magnificent and highly complicated proportions. Characters were constantly changing, millions of mooks were constantly dying, insanity was a common theme, a virus spread that caused lifeforms to be forcibly transformed into videogame characters, and recaps had to be written up constantly. Alas, it all ended when Jake, the guy who ran it, stopped posting.
Since it's rather hard to jump into a RP as complicated as the Chaos Wars, a reboot is a good idea. However, for this to work, one of two options need to be taken. The first option is to limit the power of the players, have it so the GM decides whether the players succeed performing an action, only allow the players to control one character, and use any other rules that would fit. The second option is to have no GM, have no rules(Besides players only controlling any characters they introduce, that should be a rule in every RP), give a simple premise for the players at the beginning, then let the players spin out the story from there.

I say stick with the second option, same as the last one. Maybe add only a little of the first option... we do have to be back our original classes however... So it looks like I'm back to being a Sniper.

Kind of... He said we could be whatever we wanted and I picked Sniper at the time and slowly (not really) became a super-brawler with Spider-Man Gauntlets...

I say for this we have a certain skill set that can change but only at certain points. That was I can still have my water powers but not be so overly OP that I decimate all the shit.

That sounds ok, I guess, though decimating everything was kinda the point and the GM (Does that stand for Game Master?) just though things slightly more powerful then us.

Yes, it stands for Game Master (though Manager is often the more appropriate term), it comes from D&D "Dungeon Masters", who would manage all the number crunching, general storyline and setting, and the enemies to varying extents (depending on whether or not there were players playing the villian(s) ).
Personally, I would suggest picking someone to be a GM, some who has a fair bit of experience RPing, is on often, and can keep track of possible chaos in the RP. Believe me, having someone dedicated to keeping everything straight will be immensly helpful if this grows to even half a dozen players.

It should go without saying, but just in case: the GM shouldn't play "main characters" only minor/side characters.
That said . . . I'm interested.
Edit: In performing G.M. duties, that is. I've a mind for such things, I believe.

I volunteer as GM. I'm very RP-intense. But if I seem offline for too long, just poke me or message my skype or steam.
