I finally joined the region. I didn't even know we had one.

The Empire of End Isles is a very large, safe nation, remarkable for its devotion to social welfare. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 116 million enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Education, and Social Welfare. The average income tax rate is 46%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Gambling, and Information Technology industries.

UFO sightings are listed daily in the morning news, prison visits increase substantially during election years, crime suspects are forced to submit to blood testing, and the government is a clear-cut case of tyranny by majority. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. End Isles's national animal is the Snipper Riffle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Shellets.

Everyone,
It has come to my attention that, as a consequence of time differences, I can no longer control this region as I used to. I hereby step down from my position as World Assembly Delegate of this region. I have already decided my successor, and I hope Waka of The Republic of Frontofthebus will do a good job of governing this region.
It has also come to my attention that our current system of government is inefficient, considering the number of World Assembly Resolutions which have gone unseen, and the fact that the last election was a failure. As such, as my last act as Delegate, I shall pass these new rules.
1. The World Assembly Delegate maintains office until he/she either steps down or the region makes him step down after a monthly "Satisfaction poll", using the poll function. After he steps down, it is up to the region's founder to appoint a new delegate.
2. Membership of the World Assembly is compulsory. To join, go to this page linked in these words and click "Apply to join", then wait for the confirmation email, which will come in 5-10 minutes. As well as checking your main email, also check your spam folder. Failure to join is punishable by ejection.
3. Nations outside of the parliament have their endorsements capped at three. Endorsing a non-parliament nation after it already has three is punishable by ejectban for attempting to stage a coup.
4. Use of the browser extension Nationstates++ is required. I have linked it. Failure to use this extension will result in ejection.
All these rules will go into effect three days from now.

The Republic of Lucarian is a fledgling, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its devotion to social welfare.
